What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Cosmetologist position at Meruelo Group?
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS!!
- Analyze patrons' hair to determine and recommend appropriate treatment
- Treat clients in professional setting with strong effort placed towards providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere
- Demonstrate, educate and sell related retail products
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Confer with clients about their health concerns, allergies and products they are currently using to determine any contraindications
- Perform all hair care related treatments on spa menu according to treatment protocol
- Prepare products, supplies and equipment as stated in protocols
- Achieve weekly retail sales goal
- Ability to work with various related products and tools including scented and unscented hair care products, heated or chilled stones/glass, infrared units, steam units, hot irons, heat lamps and other hair care tools as required
- Maintain all inventory items and supplies and communicate needs in advance
- Provide special assistance to all guest and groups, immediately take care of any customer complaints
To be a Grand success:
- High School Diploma required
- Hold a current Cosmetology License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology
- Minimum of one year experience performing hair care services in salon environment
- Prior experience working with the public preferred
- Flexibility of shift and hours is necessary
- Must be willing to learn and work in additional areas
- Must train in all related treatments as created
- Exceptional guest service skills, courtesy, professionalism skills are required
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must display exceptional positive team player attitude
- Adhere to all State Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations.
- Experience in ethnic hair preferred.
