Surf Finishing Technician - DAY SHIFT

Mervin Manufacturing was founded by snowboarders Mike Olson and Pete Saari in 1977. Based out of Carlsborg, Washington, between the rugged Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges, Mervin is a direct link between riding and manufacturing.

Job purpose

Build quality water boards by cutting, grinding, and shaping

Duties and responsibilities

• Use of handsaw
• Use of hand tools
• Use of hand sander
• Apply resin acrylic, and sealer
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work safely
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Able to read and do simple arithmetic
• Able to understand and follow instructions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Dependable & punctual

Physical requirements

• Required to regularly stand and walk
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Required to assist lift up to 40 pounds.

Position Hours are Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm with overtime opportunities!

Pay Range: $16.75 to $19.75 per hour

Starting rate is $16.75/hr with a $1.50/hr increase once fully trained and meeting quality and quota expectations. The position is based on a tiered pay scale with increased knowledge and abilities for each tier associated with an increase in wage.
