NEW MEXICO'S FIRST Rio Valley Biofuels, LLC was the first commercial producer of biodiesel in the Southwest. We distribute biodiesel as well as diesel fuels and gasoline in Texas, New Mexico, and the surrounding states. Our feedstocks include a large variety of lipid oil sources including used cooking oil, crude cottonseed, tallow, sunflower, canola, soy, and a number of others.

A Maintenance Technician’s role is to assist and maintain the physical integrity of the facility. In addition, will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance support to plant equipment such as: product flow pump, liquid and air pumping, seal replacement of liquid pumps, repair diaphragm pumps, mechanical and fluid flow.
- Troubleshoot, remove and install pumps.
- Handles all maintenance of forklifts and power washers.
- Conducts all maintenance of the production facilities, all equipment supporting production and material handling.
- Provide inputs as required to the Maintenance Manager for equipment repair, replacement and spare parts.
- Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager ensuring proper maintenance and safety, on all appropriate equipment in the facility.
- Able to diagnose problems with machinery: able to test and make adjustments.
- Follow company’s policies and safety procedures.
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Manager of Maintenance.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to perform a variety of maintenance duties and multi-task.
- Ability to work in a team and be ‘hands on’.
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General construction, plumbing, electrical experience, and mechanical repair.
Skills:
- Perform tasks/projects in a timely manner.
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the facility.
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
