What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Facilities Management position at Mesquite ISD?
Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant-Facilities Management. The appointee will report directly to the Executive Director of Facilities Management in such a way as to insure the effective operation of the Maintenance Department in all assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications: The Secretary will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- have strong written and verbal skills
- have appropriate clerical and/or secretarial experience at the campus or central office level
- have knowledge of computer functions and programs including word processing, spreadsheet, and databases
- possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- have ability to mulit-task and pay close attention to details
- establish, maintain, and update all information relating to new and existing personnel
- handle personnel needs such as insurance, paychecks, and vacation scheduling
- manage bookkeeping functions for payroll and employee time cards
- demonstrate a working knowledge of basic office equipment
- demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- have a service oriented personality

Salary: Pay Range: Administrative/Technical Support (4); $19.47 to $23.74 (hourly); 226 day position
Employment begins: January 6, 2025 or as soon as possible
