Messiah Lutheran Church (ELCA) Finance Coordinator
Purpose
Ensure Messiah’s financial and operational systems faithfully support our mission: to help people grow a faith in Jesus Christ that works in real life.

Key Responsibilities:
Finance
- Oversee weekly deposits, payables, and payroll
- Manage reconciliation, reporting, and budgeting cycles
- Track designated funds, grants, and benevolence
- Support annual stewardship and budget preparation
Grants and Reporting
- Maintain the grant tracker and submit timely reports
- Prepare new grant applications aligned with ministry goals
Operations
- Oversee maintenance contracts for facility care
- Manage staff onboarding, vendor relationships, and compliance documents
- Coordinate risk management and insurance updates
Leadership
- Supervise administrative support or volunteers
- Partner with Pastor and Treasurer to ensure transparency and trust
Other
- Additional duties and growth opportunities based on need and ability.
