What will you be doing?
Under the direction of and reporting to the Sr. IT Manager, the IT Intern learns the basics of information technology tasks and responsibilities when working with multiple facilities. The Student will be given various IT projects, as well as the opportunity to be involved with day-to-day activities of the IT Team.
This position will focus on (but not limited to):
- Networking and Network Administration
- Computer hardware installation and repair
- User training and assistance
- Programming tasks in 4D and other languages.
- SharePoint configuration and maintenance.
What will you need to be successful in this position?
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals within MTI
- Fluent in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Able to manage multiple tasks at a time
- Ability to work self-directed and individually
- Demonstrate organizational and project management skills
- Understand and can meet deadline-oriented business transactions
What will your working conditions look like?
- The IT Intern will reside in the office the majority of the day
- Some travel may be required.
What are the education and experience requirements?
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a BS in Information Technology
- Must have completed the sophomore year in the major program of study
- Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 2.75/4.0
