Responsibilities
- Maintains all in-house molds in production ready condition.
- Schedules mold repairs accordingly to avoid downtime and still produce quality.
- Works closely with Engineering Department on new molds, revisions, and/or changes to existing molds.
- Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Additional training and certification in industrial technology and welding strongly preferred.
- Must have the ability to apply detailed, quality craftsmanship relating to mold maintenance and repair.
- Must have the ability to operate and get certified to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to use and operate safely the following equipment, tools, and instruments: welder, torches, hoists, multiple hand tools, power saws, grinders, drills and routers, gauges and measuring devices, and all required safety PPE.
- Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
- High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from is accredited institution.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
