A Safety Manager establishes and oversees the health and safety processes for the organization. Job Responsibilities
? Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to ensure a secure working environment.
? Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
? Collaborate with department heads to establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
? Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
? Keep abreast of industry safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance across the organization.
? Lead safety training sessions for employees, emphasizing best practices and emergency response procedures.
? Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinating drills and simulations to enhance preparedness.
? Manage the safety reporting and record-keeping systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of data.
? Collaborate with external agencies and regulatory bodies to address safety concerns and maintain compliance.
? Communicate regularly with employees at all levels to promote a safety culture and address safety-related concerns.
Essential Functions:

? Incident investigation and reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
? Completed OSHA 30 Course
? Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in an industrial or corporate setting.
? In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
? Ability to lead and facilitate safety training sessions.
? Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
? Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, CHST, CIH) is preferred.
