Cultivation Technician

Indoor cannabis cultivation facility is looking for motivated people to cultivate cannabis.

Operating hours are 6:30Am to 3:30Pm Monday through Friday. Candidates should be prepared to work 40 hours a week. Backgrounds in restaurants and similar fast-paced environments are highly preferred. Prior cannabis experience not required.

Position Summary

The Cultivation Technician is responsible for completing Cultivation related tasks as they pertain to the growth and harvest cycle of the plants in their care. Some of the expected tasks include but are not limited to, harvest, defoliation, watering, and monitoring plant conditions. A Cultivation Technician must be able to work independently, follow precise directions, and be accountable in order to successfully support the businesses goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a working knowledge of state and local cannabis laws and regulations as they pertain to the cultivation process
• Maintain a working knowledge of weighing and data collection procedures including but not limited to, company specific tare weight values, and precise record keeping standards.
• Understand and be able to execute directions with accuracy and precision
• Identify and report any and all issues regarding plant health, watering inconsistencies, oddities, or any other abnormal issues or irregularities regarding plants within the grow.
• Defoliate plants in a manner consistent with company standards and government regulations
• Dispose of and record plant waste in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain a clean working uniform and environment
• Communicate with the cultivation management about production issues or concerns
• Maintain a working knowledge of company strains, and be able to identify strains based on phenotypic expressions.
• Ability to adjust to quality differences to maintain company standards
• Assist in maintaining the grow rooms, equipment, environment, and permanent fixtures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Fast food, or assembly line experience preferred
• Proper employment documentation and authorized to work in the US
• Trustworthy, punctual with great written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be licensed to work in the cannabis industry in the state of Oklahoma
