Family Services Specialist

Role: Family Services Specialist

Location: Winton, NC

Salary: $43,000.00 (based on education and experience)

As a Family Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting juveniles and their families throughout their journey at the Multipurpose Juvenile Home. Reporting to the Residential Program Manager, you will:

• Engage families in the care and treatment of their children.
• Promote family reunification and facilitate the successful adjustment of juveniles back into the community.
• Maintain an active caseload, providing ongoing support to juveniles and families post-discharge.

• Develop and implement individualized service plans for each juvenile and their family.
• Conduct regular family meetings and home visits to monitor progress and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with community resources to ensure comprehensive support for families.
• Document and report on the progress of each case, ensuring compliance with program standards.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Minimum age of 21.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience working with families; experience with the target population is strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete all required training, including physical restraint, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration.
• Capability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-stress environment.
