Job Summary
The HVAC Supervisor is a full-time position that provides technical support for BAS jobs in warranty, service work orders, BAS Service Contracts, BAS Monitoring Contracts, Upgrades and Upfits, and controls related T&M jobs.
Job Duties
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following but other functions may be assigned:
• Supervises HVAC technician team, including quality control, installation and repair lead, and performance management
• Supports HVAC system programming when necessary
• Responsible for leading the installation and servicing of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs instruments and products at a customer’s location
• Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary
• Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, mis-calibration, malfunction, and drift)
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
• Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact
• Supports HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance
• Provides training and follow-up training at a customer’s site
• Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
• Provides technical support to customers
• Provide technical sales assistance
• Able to develop, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
Qualifications
• 40 Hour Work Week and some evening/weekend work is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• HVAC Certification required or equivalent
• 5 years as a supervisor in the Commercial HVAC field
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required, regular travel requirements with occasional overnight travel
• Able to develop, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
