Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to support and grow relationships with key clients in the biotech industry for the East Coast territory. This role is responsible for managing client accounts, overseeing contracts, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the account lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of account management and contract management experience, preferably within biotech, life sciences, or a related industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned biotech accounts, building strong, long-term client relationships
- Manage end-to-end account activities, including onboarding, ongoing support, renewals, and upsell opportunities
- Oversee contract management, including review, execution, amendments, renewals, and compliance tracking
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Scientific teams to ensure contract and service alignment
- Monitor account performance, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction
- Prepare and deliver account reviews, reports, and performance metrics to internal stakeholders and clients
- Support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and scope changes in partnership with leadership
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and contract management systems
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within biotech
- Travel 25% within the territory to clients.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in account management, client services, or customer success
- 2 years of contract management experience, including renewals and amendments
- Experience working in biotech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a related industry
- Be based anywhere East of the Mississippi river in the territory
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts and service agreements
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office or similar platforms
