Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager

Location : Greater Phoenix, AZ (on-site)

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager at MetricStream, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, engaging with prospects, and setting up meetings for the sales team. Your team is the first impression for our potential clients and therefore has a meaningful impact on MetricStream's success. This role is ideal for a motivated, goal-driven individual looking to develop a career in enterprise sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4 (with potential headcount growth) in daily activities as a player / coach
  • Research prospective companies through various tools (blueprinting)
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate interest in MetricStream’s solutions.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with key decision-makers to understand their pain points, purpose, or passion and educate them on MetricStream’s value proposition.
  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team to help move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in systems like Salesforce, Outreach, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to improve lead-generation strategies and messaging.
  • Manage and monitor daily KPI activities through reporting
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for scheduled meetings and pipeline generation.
  • Continuously learn about GRC industry trends, competitors, and MetricStream’s product offerings to effectively communicate value to prospects.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge.

Skills and Experience

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or similar role, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, or technology sales.
  • Preferred experience in GRC, Cybersecurity, or similar industries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with potential customers.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle objections, think critically, and adapt messaging to different customer needs.
  • Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • A passion for learning and developing a career in sales.
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar professional experience.
