Physician Assistant (Hospitalist-PRN)

Metro Infectious Disease Consultants L.L.C. is accepting applications for Physician Assistants located within the Florence, AL area, to work on a PRN basis. This PA should expect to work 1-2 weekends per month.

The PA will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients. This includes, but is not limited to, the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems, ordering, interpreting and performing laboratory and radiology tests, prescribing medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated, and performing other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated.

The Physician Assistants shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.

Requirements

• Applicants need to be certified and hold an active Alabama license as well as have proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19
