A non-exempt position responsible for successful day to day operations of a nephrology practice office.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures follow through of established strategies to improve the patient experience
- Resolves patient complaints; reports unresolved complaints to the Site Manager promptly
- Delivers high quality customer service
- Daily clinics are prepared for in advance
- Reviews lab reports daily
- Manages and prioritizes incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Administers Intradermal, IM, IV, and subcutaneous Injections
- Demonstrates Basic Assessment Skills through completion of nurse visits
- Performs clinical tasks according to practice policy
- Utilizes patient assistance options
- Performs precise venous and capillary phlebotomy
- Works prescription refills according to practice policy
- Communicates with ESRD Coordinator for dialysis seating
- Utilizes workflows that maximize visit compliance
- Utilizes established workflows which maximize overall office efficiency
- Schedules appointments
- Updates EMR
- Processes tasks
- Demonstrates an understanding of Immunization, Lab Order, Charge and Problem entry as well as their associated workflows
- Reviews encounter forms for orders
- Completes forms
- Schedules outside procedures
- Schedules hospital follow up appointments according to policy
- Arranges Hospital Admissions
- Obtains prior authorizations
- Follows operating instructions and notifies appropriate personnel of any malfunctions.
- Completes required CEU’s
Requirements
- EPIC Acumen experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience; Med-Surg , ER or Primary Care experience preferred
- Excellent Assessment Skills
- Phone Triage a must
- Multi-Tasking Capability
- Lab Review
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Team Player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, EMR’s, Outlook.
- Competent in Learning Management Systems
- Must hold a current and valid North Carolina LPN/RN License.
- Current CPR certificate
