What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Metronet?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Record revenue entries on a monthly a basis.
- Record daily cash entries and prepare relevant account reconciliations.
- Prepare cash account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the Technical Accounting Manager to drive insights into critical revenue trends and identify transactions that may merit further analysis under ASC 606.
- Support the technical accounting manage in monthly control procedures including trending and review of monthly revenue analysis in regard to the subsidiary financial statements.
- Assist with other accounting close responsibilities on an ad hoc basis.
- Assist in cash reporting required by the company’s debt agreements.
- Assist in certain network inventory accounting functions.
- Support external auditors' work on annual audits.
- Assist in operating and documenting key internal controls.
- All other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree Accounting
- 2 years of experience
- Strong Knowledge of GAAP
- Demonstrated intermediate experience with Excel and Microsoft Office products
- CPA designation preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including intermediate Excel
