Job Description: Metroplex Energy, a RaceTrac company, is an Atlanta-based wholesale fuel company that secures bulk fuel to supply rack sales and delivery of gasoline, diesel, and biofuel products by pipeline, rail, truck, barge, and vessel. Metroplex Energy’s Transportation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of fuel to RaceTrac and RaceWay stores. This individual works to ensure fuel is always available for delivery at an optimal price to ultimately diminish costs for the organization. The Transportation Coordinator is also responsible for making sure tanks meet proper product standards. Transportation Coordinators must be priority-driven and able to act quickly to resolve delivery issues, as well as work proactively to predict potential issues and risks across the delivery timeline. Responsibilities: Serve as first point of contact for communication and problem solving with third-party common carrier to help facilitate fuels to stores Manage store fuels levels, inventory, and supply sources Monitor gas-to-water tank ratios and contact the proper department needed to resolve supply mix issues Ensure that gas suppliers have the correct loading information at terminals Schedule pump-outs when tanks or terminals have been contaminated or contain improper transmix gas Communicate between third-party and in-house carriers concerning inventory, store volume, or market changes Qualifications: 0-2 years’ professional experience in Transportation, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain required Strong level of working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, etc. required Experience in oil & gas transportation or logistics highly preferred Associate degree or higher preferred Working at RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc.
