SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Airfield Maintenance Supervisor, the Snow Removal Worker assists with airport snow removal on an as-needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Operates complex equipment in the removal of snow and ice from runways, taxiways, ramps, airfield entrances and parking lots.
- Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations and maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience and/or Training
- Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, and
- Experience in the operation of motorized and/or complex heavy equipment preferred; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is beneficial but not required.
Required Special Qualifications
- Ability to pass a post-employment offer physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background investigation to obtain unescorted Airport Identification/ Access privilege.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license.
