We are now hiring for a full-time Digital Communications Coordinator to join our Headquarters (HQ) Team!

Daily responsibilities include:

General Agency Communications – 50%

  • Help develop print and digital content across the lifespan of the process - plan, coordinate, research, write, edit, and share for leveraging across platforms including social media, website, email, events, and other modes of communication including graphics and presentations
  • Assist in email management, including creation, distribution, and list and contact organization
  • Assist in social media management, including drafting, scheduling/posting, and engaging, with a focus on balancing variety and volume in support of furthering overall strategies
  • Measure, analyze, and report on communications efforts across platforms; leverage internal data and industry benchmarks to maximize the effectiveness of content strategies
  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of MFS programs and Centers, branding, and relevant processes, and stay up to date with developments
  • Support the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a cross-channel communication strategy, working with the Communications team, broader External Affairs department, and staff throughout the agency
  • Design elements including graphics, templates, and filters geared toward online assets; assist on print collateral design and touch-up as needed

Legal Aid Society Communications – 50%

  • Apply the components listed above in developing and executing communications specific to the Legal Aid Society (LAS) of Metropolitan Family Services
  • Write and edit compelling, accurate, information-rich content for digital platforms including social media, email, and website, as well as various print collateral
  • Liaise with LAS staff to foster a consistent and comprehensive flow of information and visuals
  • Contribute to planning and communications for LAS events, including its annual fundraiser
  • Provide support as needed to Media Relations & Marketing Coordinator on media outreach surrounding LAS topics, programs, and events

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in creating, reviewing, and proofing materials
  • A robust technology competency: you have a range of technical skills (including basic HTML) and knowledge of best practices, enjoy learning new tools, and keep current with changes/trends
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, to establish and maintain effective working partnerships: you’re excited to communicate with and on behalf of all our external and internal stakeholders, a population composed of diverse cultures and age groups
  • An interest in helping empowering families and communities to learn, earn, heal, and thrive

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, multimedia, journalism, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience in marketing/communications or related field required.

  • Frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel
  • Handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
