What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Clerk and Master I - Records Management Clerk position at Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County?
This is a non-civil service position with the Chancery Court Clerk & Master's Office. The Deputy Clerk I/Records Management Clerk position coordinates records requests and assists with case management, filing, case reporting and electronic filing review.
*This position is required to lift ledgers, docket books and large case files up to twenty (20) pounds.*
Associate’s degree and one (1) year of professional level office administration/clerical experience.
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

- Communicate verbally and in writing regarding records requests and case management.
- Review and process case filings into case management system.
- Review electronic case filings.
- Perform administrative/clerical duties as assigned with accuracy.

- Paralegal education or other legal training or law related work experience
- Bilingual
- Advanced skill using Microsoft Office software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven organizational and time management skills with attention to detail imperative
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with people of diverse backgrounds

Salary : $43,680 - $45,110
