Psychotherapist (part- or full-time)


Metrowest Nutrition and Therapy is looking for a full-time psychotherapist with eating disorder experience to join our multi-disciplinary group practice. We have three office locations - Newton Centre, Framingham and Westborough, MA and offer telehealth services to our clients.  This is a hybrid position that combines 1-3 days work in either Newton or Framingham and telehealth services provided remotely.


Position Overview:  We are seeking a psychotherapist (LCSW, LICSW, PhD, PsyD, LMHC) to join our practice for a hybrid in-person and/or exclusively remote, telehealth role.  Masters level clinicians will be considered with minimum of one year intensive eating disorder experience.  Experience and training in Family-Based Therapy, DBT, ACT and/or IFS and trauma is highly preferred.  Candidates must be fully licensed in the state of Massachusetts.  A minimum of one year working with eating disorders, preferably with adolescents and adults, is required.   Must be growth-oriented, enjoy learning and collaborating with others and committed to the mission of our organization.


About Our Practice:  Metrowest Nutrition and Therapy is a multi-disciplinary group practice dedicated to helping individuals heal their relationship with food, movement and body.  Our therapists specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating,  adolescent health, emerging adults, trauma, mood disorders.

Originating as a nutrition counseling practice,  our services now include psychotherapy, occupational therapy and movement therapy.  Our physical offices are in Newton Centre, Framingham and Westborough.  We operate from an inclusive Health at Every Size (HAES) model and are committed to creating a space for diversity both within our team and for our clients.  We strongly believe that whole-person healing includes a close, compassionate investigation into all components of wellbeing: physical, psychosocial, emotional and economic while honoring an individual's cultural identity.

Practicing from HAES/ Body Liberation Orientation:  At Metrowest Nutrition and Therapy we practice EXCLUSIVELY from a trauma-informed, weight-neutral/body liberation HAES-aligned framework.  It is essential that any clinician who joins our practice is aligned with this philosophy.  We specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, feeding issues, body image, women’s health, and athletic performance.  Clinicians should have some experience in these areas prior to joining our team.


Qualifications:

  • Current State of Massachusetts license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC
  • Willing to see a minimum of 12 clients a week
  • Minimum of 1 year of eating disorder experience
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus
