The Role
We are looking for a passionate Creative Director to lead the overall creative direction of the Mezzetta brand. You will produce and oversee all creative and establish consistent and compelling content and design on all consumer facing platforms. You will lead all:
- Creative and conceptual thinking.
- Big-picture vision for aligning creative projects with company and brand identity and positioning.
- Creative process for brainstorming/ideation sessions and collaboration with our world-class team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong art direction, graphic design and project management experience to bring our stories and concepts to life. Additionally, you will be a strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of building and leading internal and external agency teams. You must be able to articulate and understand business problems, build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, and create an efficient operation and a culture that mixes innovation and creativity across all Mezzetta channels.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision and operating model for the Creative team
- Create a distinct, on brand and consistent look and feel for Mezzetta
- Own the process from creative development to execution.
- Own the creation and adherence to the brand book in close partnership with Marketing
- Conceptualize, create storyboards and design using different styles and approaches for deliverables as needed.
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap with both immediate and long-term goals and milestones, taking into account business needs and capabilities
- Ensure the Creative team is delivering best-in-class output and partnership, functioning efficiently, and instilling a culture of collaboration
- Drive and contribute to a culture where people love to work, feel they can flourish, and are proud of their work
- Manage direct reports and external agency partners in creative strategy, execution and production
Qualifications
- 6 years in a creative leadership role, preferably with CPG experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with strong visual design and typography skills
- An excellent online portfolio showcasing visual and art direction capabilities
- Experience leading projects from concept to execution
- Creative, innovative, and strategic thinking, with an eye for detail
- Experience across channels: digital, retail, advertising, marketing, experiential, social & print
- Expertise in leading teams to create work that resonates culturally
- Experience using and creating/contributing to design systems & style guides
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
