The Multifamily Asset Management Project Analyst plays a key role in maximizing the performance and value of a diverse portfolio of multifamily residential assets. This position combines financial analysis, data interpretation, and strategic collaboration to inform investment decisions and drive operational improvements across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance of multifamily assets, including occupancy, rental income, operating expenses, and capital expenditures
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed financial models, presentations, and forecasts as needed.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal stakeholders and investors
- Facilitate property budgeting process including budget template review and updating, individual property budget creation, corporate expense budgeting, review of budgets, and preparation of budget summary
- Participate in the business plan preparation, due diligence, financial analysis, creation of stabilization budgets, and cash flow forecasts for the existing portfolio and potential acquisitions
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or related field; multifamily experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and real estate software (Yardi, MRI, or similar)
- Analytical, self-motivated mindset with keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication for presenting data and recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with underwriting multifamily deals and evaluating capital investment strategies preferred
- Understanding of market dynamics in key multifamily regions preferred
- $35-$40/hr
