JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a AA certificate in Early childhood Education
- 2-year experience working with preschool age children
- 25 hours of required training annually
- Fluency in two languages (English required)
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to relate to children, parents and volunteers
- Great organizational skills for lesson and classroom planning
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in planning and creating activities
- Capable of supervising classroom and children
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2020
GUIDELINES:
- Know and maintain DHR Minimum Standards
- Know and maintain NAEYC Standards
- Learn and maintain TEA Standards
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work with Co teacher regarding daily schedule and weekly lesson planning.
- Develop and provide effective curriculum and instruction
- Provide a positive, non-threatening learning environment
- Consult and plan with co teacher
- Assist in management and organization of classroom/playground materials
- Assist with student enrollment, assessments and screenings
- Participate in parent/teacher conferences twice a year
- Other duties as required by management
Position reports to Site Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.94 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
