Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Coordinator needed to help regionalize the Cardiac Device Management program. Ensures quality and regulatory compliance related to cardiac device standards using project management skills. Collaborates with the H&V leadership team with expectations and preparedness for the accreditation process required by the state of Michigan CON. • Acts as a cardiac device expert and resource to clinical staff, personally providing education, process improvement and quality metrics/data to Physicians, Nursing, and supportive staff in the clinical care departments (H&V, clinic staff, etc.). Comprehensive benefit packages available including medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 403B Colleague Referral Program to earn cash and prizes Unlimited career growth opportunities Position Summary: The Program Coordinator actively participates in and leads (as appropriate) strategic planning, organizes operational processes, data management and analysis, and actively facilitates support of program operations and administrative components. Develops and supports the successful achievement of standards for providing evidence based patient care, performance improvement initiatives, and professional organization standards. In conjunction with service line leadership, support regional outreach activities and initiatives. Collaborates with Physicians to develop and apply practice guidelines, quality improvement mechanisms, and research to enhance the quality of care to patients and their families. Serves as a program liaison between Physician specialists, primary and consulting Physicians, clinical and support staff and the community. Supports research, education and patient care, including patient advocacy and compliance with regulatory and accrediting requirements. What you will do: Oversees the needed regulatory requirements for the service line as related to the device program. • Participates in Cardiac committees/meetings. • In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Professional Development Specialist and Clinical Services Manager coordinates, develops, implements and evaluates cardiac device education offerings and materials. • In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Professional Development Specialist, participates in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice education and competencies. • Ensures quality and regulatory compliance related to cardiac device standards using project management skills. Collaborates with the H&V leadership team with expectations and preparedness for the accreditation process required by the state of Michigan CON. • Acts as a cardiac device expert and resource to clinical staff, personally providing education, process improvement and quality metrics/data to Physicians, Nursing, and supportive staff in the clinical care departments (H&V, clinic staff, etc.). • Establishes protocols and guidelines for device management. • Maintains relevant certification in device management and care. Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards regarding cardiac devices providing clinical and technical expertise, working side-by-side with healthcare professionals to care for cardiology patients with cardiac pacemakers and implantable electronic devices (CIED). What you will need: Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in cardiac rehab, exercise physiology, cardiac imaging or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree Credentials/Licensure Minimum: Preferred: Certification (as appropriate). Other subspecialty certification. Three years of experience. One year of experience in dedicated service line.
