Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and its related entities. The roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: full cycle accounting for other entities; event accounting & settlements collaborating with multiple internal departments & external companies; recording various monthly journal entries including reclasses, revenue recognition, prepaid, and accrual items, as needed; maintaining reconciliations while noting and resolving any reconciling items; providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information with a deadline driven close; and documenting processes and sharing knowledge.

- This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Accounting: Full cycle accounting and monthly financial packages for the below entities:
- Miami Dolphins Foundation - Devoted to providing and supporting signature Education, Health, Youth Athletic Programs and Volunteer Activities that inspire and engage communities throughout Florida.
- Dolphins Challenge Cancer - The largest fundraising program in the NFL, unites the Miami Dolphins organization, its supporters, and the South Florida community to advance critical cancer research.
- 2 Parking Entities - Separate legal entities covering select parking lots.
2. Event Accounting: Miami Open
- Monthly Operating Expense and Revenue Settlements
- Tournament Event Settlements
- Parking Revenue
3. Revenue Accounting:
- Dolphins Game Day Parking
- Dolphins Season Parking
- Stadium Event Parking
- University of Miami Football Game Day Parking
4. Banking:
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Remote Deposit, Cash Receipts, Bank Transfers
- Merchant Weekly Reports
5. Other:
- Accounts Receivable
- Box Office Ticketing for all Stadium Events & Payment types (including all merchants, Wires, Cash, Checks)
- Monthly schedules/reconciliation for all Balance Sheet accounts that apply to your areas of responsibility.
- Willing to work on other ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Public Accounting experience is a plus.
- Project, cost center, or event accounting experience is a plus.
- Meticulous, ambitious, organized, collaborator.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 ERP systems.
- Strong Work Ethic – Self-directed and purposeful; Available to work extended hours as required.
- Analytical Person – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.

- Strong Computer Skills – Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with advanced strength in SharePoint & Excel.
