Position: Regional Manager

Shift: Full Time 8am-4:30pm/ 80 Hours Per Pay
The CareFlight Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing specific areas of CareFlight Air and Mobile services, programs, and personnel. Areas of focus will include MICU and aircraft bases within one region of the program.
The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, timely, efficient, compliant, and productive workflows in the operational and service areas in their areas of oversight. The incumbent will lead the planning and implementation of new services, initiatives, and staff development. Furthermore, the Regional Manager may be responsible for the direct supervision of any combination of Flight Nurses, Flight Paramedics, Critical Care Transport RNs, and Critical Care Transport Paramedics who work within their scope of responsibility.
Project management, oversight and involvement will range from independent work on small projects, to leading teams on large scale changes. Projects may involve departments external to CareFlight and the Regional Manager will work with other teams/departments to ensure that the activities and contributions align with priorities and timelines for the organization. The Regional Manager must use advanced communication and project management skills to lead quality and efficiency improvement efforts.
All responsibilities are accomplished in collaboration with the CareFlight Air and Mobile leadership/management team under the direction of the System Vice President of Emergency Trauma Institute, Director of CareFlight Air and Mobile and CareFlight Program Manager.
General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Regional Manager must:
§ Demonstrate currency in equivalent educational experiences as appropriate to the mission statement and scope of care.
§ Be responsible for supervision of patient care provided by the medical personnel.
§ Work collaboratively to coordinate the patient care delivery with the Program Manager and Medical Director given by the various professionals and review the overall system for delivery of patient care.
§ Be actively involved with the Quality Management/Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement of the program.
§ Be actively involved in all administrative decisions affecting patient care.
§ Be actively involved in the hiring, training, and continuing education for all personnel who work for the service.
§ Must ensure adequate mechanisms for the evaluation of clinical practice of patient care providers.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree
Additional requirements:

§ Area of study or major: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
§ Preferred educational qualifications:
§ Position specific testing requirement: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration
§ Valid Nursing license in the state of Ohio
§ Certified Paramedic in the state of Ohio
§ CAMTS approved Nursing Professional Certification
§ Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, NRP and ATLS audit certification required at the time of hire.
