PROGRAM OVERVIEW
White Pine Middle School Athletics is a robust program within the Saginaw Township Community Schools district, offering an abundance of school sports.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES :
The duties of the Girls’ Basketball Coach may include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- To develop, promote, and supervise all facets of middle school boys basketball.
- Promote a positive academic environment and encourage all athletes to strive for academic excellence.
- Prepare and execute practice, game plans, and strategies designed to bring success to the program.
- Provide moral support and encouragement to students/athletes.
- Establish and maintain community contacts which enhance the success of the program.
- Maintain and control the use of uniforms and equipment.
- Assist with design and implement conditioning programs, in and out of season, for students/athletes.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the media.
- Develop a communication protocol, which keeps both parents and student/athletes aware of program status.
- Establish and execute an awards program to recognize team and individual performance excellence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Updated First Aid and CPR training required.
COMPENSATION :
Salary stipend per STEA Contract.
