TITLE : HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST
- Associates Degree desired, relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years school district experience.
- Experience with AS400 with regards to employee demographics, attendance, benefit and
- Knowledge of how AS400 Human Resource and Payroll systems interact.
- Experience supporting the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
- Experience working with AESOP or other attendance system.
- Experience working with third party vendors such as EduStaff.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Experience in problem solving, multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills.
- Self-directed, self-motivated and ability to work with interruptions.

REPORTS TO : Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator
SUPERVISES : NA
JOB GOAL : To assist employees with Human Resource inquiries in a professional manner
and promoting and supporting the vision of the District and Human Resource
Department.
ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Responsible for Human Resource administration including but not limited to:
a. Employee Human Resources processing from new hire to terminations.
b. Salary changes.
c. Leave administration, FMLA and attendance monitoring.
d. Workers compensation and unemployment claims / processing.
2. Responsible for all employee demographics, attendance and compensation system input and
maintenance.
3. Responds to employees Human Resource questions quickly and accurately.
4. Responsible for all Human Resource internal and external reporting including but not limited
to Registry of Educational Personnel (REP) Report and other required reporting.
5. Assist with development and communication of Human Resource policies.
6. Responsible for the development of Human Resources procedures.
7. Responsible for employee Human Resource files.
8. Responsible for department record retention.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 12 month non-bargaining unit position.
EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Assistant Superintendent of
Human Resources & Title IX Coordinator.
