Position Details
The Chatfield School is hiring a full time School Social Worker. The candidate will be part of an educational team that works collaboratively to provide highly-effective support to students. The candidate will work closely with support staff, parents, and the entire school staff to provide an excellent learning environment for all children.
Qualifications include:
- Valid State of Michigan SSW Licensure/Certification
- Desire to work with and support children of varying needs and abilities
- Experience working with IEPs and Special Education evaluations
- Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments and Positive Behavior Support Plans
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively in an innovative, team teaching setting.
- Ability to relate positively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- High level of interpersonal skills to communicate verbally and in writing.
