We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Sales Manager. This is an opportunity to be a key member of small, collaborative and dynamic company on a strong growth path. You will be the lead in identifying and winning new opportunities, manage manufactures reps. and develop a CRM strategy. You should have a solid technical background with experience in microelectronics and circuit boards for the defense, aerospace, medical and commercial markets. This position reports directly to the CEO of the company. MPT is an employee-focused company that offers a full-benefit package including medical, dental, 401K and a profit-sharing bonus. We work on a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday being a non-working day. US citizenship is required.

Micro-Precision Technologies (MPT) is a leading manufacturer of high-quality thick film ceramic substrates, Hybrid Integrated Circuits (HICs), Multichip Modules (MCMs), and custom semiconductors. Our advanced micro-electronics assembly services include Die Attach/Wire Bonding, MEMS assembly, and custom semiconductor packaging. MPT sells to a range of customers, within Defense, Aerospace, Industrial Controls, Medical, and Semiconductor end markets. The business is positioned for growth under a private investment firm, Great River Capital Partners (GRCP). The company was founded in 1987 and is considered a Small Business located in a company-owned facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the microelectronics, semiconductor, and aerospace/defense industries.
- Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to propose technical solutions that meet customer specifications.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and quotations.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for technical questions and project updates.
- Lead implementation of sales reps. and support future growth of rep. network.
- Lead CRM selection and implementation with other business systems.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote MPT’s capabilities.
- Accurately forecast and report sales activity to the Leadership Team.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent.
- 5 years or more of technical sales or sales engineering experience in a relevant industry.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with microelectronic manufacturing processes such as wire bonding, die attach, thick film printing, PCB assembly and packaging is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer focus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong background in managing relationships with manufacturers reps.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%).
- Must be a US citizen and must understand and agree to comply with Technology Control Plan for ITAR and CMMC compliance.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience selling into defense, aerospace, medical, or high-reliability electronics markets.
- Understanding of hybrid circuits, ceramic substrates, MEMS packaging, SMT and related technologies.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission plan. Pay range shows total compensation.
