Regional Sales Manager
Afinia Label is a division of Microboards Technology, an international Minnesota-based company that was founded in 1989 and got its start in the CD/DVD duplication industry. Afinia Label is an industry leader offering specialty printing equipment that includes a full range of on-demand digital label printers, label finishers/presses, and accessories. Today, with a presence in over 55 countries worldwide, we are expanding and looking for talent to grow with us.
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our National Sales Support team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a network of Resellers in your assigned territory to promote/sell our Afinia Label product line of High-Speed Digital Printers, Finishers, and Presses. Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Plan and Action
Report monthly itinerary and all significant activity in assigned territory to National Sales Manager, related to:
- Sales strategy plans
- Reseller profile updates/quarterly reviews
- Resellers’ activities
- Reseller support of end-customers, product technical support communication, etc.
- Product performance successes/failures
- New Afinia product development
- Competitive product pricing/product features information
- Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales leads through cold calling potential customers
- Generate and follow-up on key sales quotes, tradeshow generated leads, and marketing leads as requested
- Develop and close end-customer sales to meet monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Resolve sales, product service, equipment, and Reseller/end-customer issues as required
- Build and maintain effective communication with all market segments
- Travel within assigned territory to maintain/develop Resellers and National Accounts to achieve sales objectives
Reseller Sales Team Management
- Train, develop, motivate, and direct Reseller sales teams to effectively sell product line
- Promote and maintain a superior relationship with all levels of Reseller organizations
- Communicate product information to resellers as required
- Visit Resellers to work directly with their sales teams to perform/assist with product demos in their markets
- Development of new Reseller prospects and coordination of appropriate field visits to prospects
- Manage/coordinate sales efforts between Resellers and direct end-users/National Account customers to assure thorough coverage of potential customer sales opportunities in market/territory
- Focus on single-source mentality, improved sales team turnover, etc., with the Resellers
Qualifications and Skills
- Four-Year College Degree Required or Equivalent Work Experience Required
- Minimum 3 - 5 Years of Outside Sales Experience Managing a Reseller Channel (Label Printer Industry Preferred)
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong selling skills
- Must possess the energy and motivation to work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, the balancing of priorities, and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in business requirements
- Professional interpersonal and written communication skills to interface effectively with customers, peers, and all levels of management
- Proactive team player with a “roll-up the sleeves” demeanor and strong sense of urgency
- Excellent problem resolution, conflict management, analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to plan, organize, analyze, and manage multiple projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work calmly and professionally in high stress situations
- Strong PC skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Technically adept with hardware/software systems; mechanical/technological aptitude a plus
- Availability to travel overnight to manage assigned sales territory or attend tradeshows as needed
- Willingness and potential to grow/expand in job skills and areas of responsibility
