As a Product Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. in the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), charged with defining and implementing the strategy for a High-Performance Memory product portfolio that will further fortify Micron’s leadership position in the Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) business segments.
The Product Manager will be responsible for growing Micron’s presence in the HBM market by actively pursuing and leading customer engagements, ensuring industry inputs are included in defining the strategy and vision of the product portfolio.
This PM will also lead a cross-functional team of key representatives from multiple engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure execution of product to aligned spec within a specific timeline within budget.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for leading multiple customer engagements, understanding their business and technical requirements, and ensuring this is accurately interpreted by internal engineering teams to set Micron up for success. This includes discussions on execution priorities, sample schedules, high volume manufacturing schedules and technical requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a structured system to lead critical customer-bound documentation and collaterals, defining a cohesive customer-bound
- Maintain an excellent understanding of market requirements and technology trends to enable the development of the product portfolio and competitive analysis reports
- Represent the Product Management team in all Product Development Team meetings ensuring that customer needs are appropriately represented, and product spec trade-off discussions are translated to business impact
- Drive production execution meetings that report the status, highlight key risks to achieve the business goals
- Help build the Stage Gate material for the products
- Development and continued optimization of the business case for each product in your portfolio, including unit cost, Capex, revenue, R&D, opportunity cost and return on investment analysis
- Support the Portfolio Manager as needed accepting and handling tasks or responsibilities thrown their way while encouraging their knowledge and facilitating key aspects of product management
- Participate in the product management community by supplying to corporate process improvement and act as secondary/back-up product manager for assigned products
Job Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar function required.
- MBA or master’s degree in engineering (Preferred)
- Shown experience in product development or engineering in both technical and business topics of a semiconductor or computing systems company
- Good understanding of DRAM products and market trends
- Highly motivated person with strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to address customers independently as a Micron representative
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple sites
- Proven track record of strategy development
- Shown business insight and the ability to complete sophisticated technical projects.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$131,000.00 - $286,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
