Translate business intelligence data based on financial planning and analysis, economic modeling, econometrics, game theory, statistics, data mining, machine learning, user modeling, or information design. Query data repositories, generate periodic reports, and provide data-driven answers to complex business questions. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Collaborate with cross functional teams to promote business planning and forecasting, performance management, operational insights, and monetization programs that are critical to ensuring the long-term health of the business. Develop analytics expertise in drawing insights for data driven decision making from analyzing customer behaviors, customer segments and pricing strategies. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
- EDUCATION: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience analyzing business intelligence data, and developing and implementing business intelligence solutions.
- SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires education or experience in: Reporting; SQL and/or T-SQL; PowerBI Reporting; Project Management; Business Analytics; Quantitative Analytics; and Statistical Analysis.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSKBC16529), in San Francisco, CA, is $174,685 to $204,685.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
