What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solder Touch-Up Specialist position at Micross Logo?

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
  • Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres to the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
  • Perform self-inspection ensuring product meets the drawing and Class 3 IPC-610 criteria.
  • Take initiative to work independently to meet company shipping goals
  • Act as a Liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Read Standard Operating Procedures and suggest improvements.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work with ITAR controlled documents.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit good judgment and strong decision making skills
  • Required to follow ESD controls.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing complex or technical data.
  • Ability to work with a team and receive or communicate directions effectively.
  • Ability to perform calculations.
  • Ability to understand the basics of a robot.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives.
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational / Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 5-10 years relevent work experience required.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Senior person that mentors peers.
  • This position manages some of the employees of the department and is responsible for some employee performance management and hiring within that department.
  • Individual Contributor.

Work Environment:

  • Clean room 
  • Lab coats required
  • ESD controls and precautions taken, using wrist or heel straps.
  • Follow 5s procedures.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a microscope.
  • Dexterity to use tools for mechanical assembly. May also require repetitive motions.
  • Vision uses may require close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting/Moving - Must be able to properly move up to 25 pounds.

Required Department Specific Training: IPC-610 and J-STD-001
