What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microwave Engineer position at Microtech?
This is a Staff position in our Engineering Department. You would design and "tweak" passive microwave component designs with the aid of Ansoft "HFSS" and Mig "WASPNET" electromagnetic simulator soft-wares. Mechanical designs are done on "AutoCad," "AutoDesk Inventor 3-D," and "ProEngineer" three-dimensional modeling softwares, and / or similar mechanical design softwares. You would also assist the Sales Department in technical sales. Familiarity with AS-9100 Management Systems and "Mil" and "ASTM" specifications a plus.

Qualifications :
- BSEE degree or ten years of related experience desired. A specialized Associates Degree with strong equivalent experience will be considered.
- Applicant should be experienced in Ansoft "HFSS," Mig "WASPNET," "AutoCad," "AutoDesk Inventor 3-D," and "ProEngineer" three-dimensional modeling softwares, and / or similar mechanical design softwares.
- Applicant should be experienced with hi-frequency design and use of passive microwave components, especially waveguide structures.
- Ability to communicate prototyped designs proficiently through sketches or computer aided design to dfaftsperson.
- Must be familiar with personal computer, microwave test equipment and measurements, and manufacturing processes.
- AS-9100 Management System and Mil-Specs experience a definite plus.
