We have an open CSR (bank teller) position open in Baldwin City, Kansas at our main bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome customers and assist in their banking needs; answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies
- Receiving checking and savings deposits and issue receipts
- Verify cash and endorsements
- Receive proper identification
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete Hold Notices
- Process savings withdrawals
- Cash checks and related transactions, receive proper identification and ensure validity
- Identify counterfeit currency
- Travel if necessary to other offices if needed to back-fill for absent tellers
- Cross-sell bank products and services
- Refer customers to proper department, as needed
- Accept loan payments; verify payment amount and issue receipts
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller draw cash limits are not exceeded
- Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks
- Process cash advances, redeem U.S. Savings Bonds
- Maintain appropriate currency logs
- Follow all bank policies and compliant procedures
- Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential
Work Hours & Benefits: The hours start anywhere from 8:00 am to 8:30 am and end 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm depending on the day M-F and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm every other Saturday.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent at minimum
- 1 year of consecutive customer service experience in financial services or retail sales.
- Banking experience preferred.
- Cash handling or sales experience preferred
