What You'll Do
At Mid American Credit Union the Financial Wellness Specialist develops and enhances the credit union's relationships with existing and potential employer partners. Coordinate on-site events with our employer partners and manage new member accounts which are generated at the events.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the credit union’s financial literacy efforts by producing content, coordinating events and other associated duties as needed.
- Maintain and develop with employer partners for the purpose of providing their employees access to credit union benefits. Contact potential partners through mailings, telephone calls, and by in-person visits.
- Promote and participate in on-site events at employer partners.
- Participate in community networking activities to promote the credit union.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Ability to multi task while maintaining a high level of efficiency.
- Must be team oriented and possess a positive attitude while working well with others.
- Customer service experience including the ability to effectively perform the skills necessary to deliver exceptional service, such as communication, empathy, patience and organization.
- Education - A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- Experience - Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Need to have proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Outlook software (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.
