Cost Analyst/ Cost Engineer
MATEC is seeking a Pricing Specialist to work closely with a Government client in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, analytical skills and the capability to lead or principally contribute to challenging studies. The position will involve performing cost/price analysis, developing pricing templates and Excel-based models to evaluate different strategies and “what-if” scenarios.
Work Location: Hybrid w/ two days per week in Arlington, VA
Key Role:
Manage and perform highly complex cost proposal processes and develop deliverables to ensure timely delivery and compliance with external client and firm standards, including managing a portfolio of proposals. Advise senior executives and decision makers on key business metrics, risks, and options.
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Experience with data collection and analysis
* Ability to multi–task and work under minimal supervision
* Ability to work flexible hours in a deadline-driven environment
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience with statistical regression analysis and probabilities
* Experience with discrete event simulation, including Monte Carlo simulation
* Experience with manufacturing process flow
* Experience with supply chain management and logistics
* Experience with DoD acquisition and support of major milestones
* Possession of excellent teamwork skills
* Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
* Possession of excellent collaboration skills
* Secret clearance
* BA or BS degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
* International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) a plus
