Description
We are seeking a high energy individual to join our team in our Story County office located in Ames. If you like meeting new people, and enjoy a fast paced work environment, this may be the job for you! In this position you will be working directly in our food pantry operations. This work will include receiving, sorting, and stocking food, helping participants shop in our choice food pantry, and outreach activities that involve delivering food to family homes and other communities in Story County.
30 hours per week until 9/30/2024 (subject to program funding)
Position Closing Date: Open until filled
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of customer service experience
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in Human Services/Office Management
- Experience working with low-income or community partners
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Demonstrated level of proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English and Spanish languages in order to provide oral interpretation , and/or written translation
- Previous interpreting/translating experience
