Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient workflow within the manufacturing process. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and production planning to optimize resources and meet customer demands effectively.
Duties
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer forecasts and inventory levels.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to streamline operations.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
- Analyze inventory control metrics to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Utilize SAP software for tracking production progress and reporting on key performance indicators.
- Forecast future production needs by analyzing historical data and market trends.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field within supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and inventory control practices.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and anticipate future production needs accurately.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
