What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at MidCountry Bank?
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide customer service to MidCountry Bank’s customers, both in person or by phone and be responsible for promoting MidCountry Bank’s products and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform all Teller functions
- Cashing checks
- Receiving deposits and loan payments
- Issue cashier's checks and cash advances
- Daily balancing, which may include drawer, vault and ATM
- Follow dual control policies and procedures
2. Solicit business and provide customer service to new and existing customers
- Identify customer needs and promote appropriate products and services
- Provide quality customer service by providing timely and accurate response to customer inquiries
- Solicit bank and non-bank products and service referrals through in-person and outbound calls
- Connect customer with appropriate resources for situations
3. Maintain current knowledge of bank products, services, and environment
- Attend training sessions and bank/branch meetings as required
- Complete online courses as assigned
- Educate self where opportunities arise
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: 2 year college/technical degree or equivalent or higher
Experience
- Required: None
- Preferred: 1-3 years of bank, cash handling or customer service experience

Salary : $32,100 - $40,700
