Full Time 32 Hour Evening Shift
Summary:
The Central Sterile Supply Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing the decontamination, assembly and sterilization of all instruments, inventory management, training of new staff members, and assisting with the coordination of maintenance and service of equipment as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
T wo years experience in a Hospital Sterile Processing setting.
Active Tech certification International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPDT) required; responsible to maintain certification status.
High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated depth of knowledge pertaining to the policies and procedures for Sterile Processing operations in a hospital environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills required for tracking system interface.
Ability to work within a fast paced team oriented setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good problem solving and/or decision making skills.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Ability to react and perform under strict timelines and/or emergency situations.
Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Leadership: Demonstrates qualities which supports professionalism and teamwork.
Certified Healthcare Leadership (CHL) certification through International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM).
