Summary:
The Licensed Master Social Work for Inpatient Behavioral Health provides direct services as a part of a multidisciplinary team. The Licensed Master Social Work completes social work assessments, develops an individual plan of care for patients, implements individual or group therapies, collaborates with families and community providers and participates in the discharge planning process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Social Work program
- Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Connecticut
- At least one year of experience working with behavioral health patients on an adult inpatient behavioral health unit or in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
- Comfort with using DSM 5.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Highly organized and have the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience providing clinical care and implementation of groups on an adult inpatient unit behavioral health unit
- Previous experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment of patients with a dual diagnosis.
