Home Equity Lending Specialist perform the following functions:
- Review loans that are sent for processing to ensure loan meets policy guidelines. Address any issues with loan officers if needed. May Prepare or Review initial disclosures for accuracy.
- Order all title work, appraisals, flood certificates, and homeowners insurance for pending loans. Communicate with appropriate branch personnel as well as the member
- Review all title searches, appraisals, flood determinations and homeowner’s insurance policies once they are received. Communicate with appropriate branch personnel and contact members regarding title issues or other issues pertaining to the mortgage.
- Contact members to set up closing date. Gather required information for loan closing from member (i.e. payment due date, closing time/branch, verify loan amount, term etc.) Create loan package, update HMDA, etc. Email loan package to branch for closing.
- Auditing files for complete information and compliance with secondary market guidelines
Qualifications include:
- Excellent service, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and sound decision making skills
- Experience with loan underwriting and secondary market guidelines
- 1 to 2 years of experience with Home Equity Lending or Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Position is an "In office, NOT a remote position"
