Essential Functions
Under the general supervision of the School Business Official, the District Administrative Support assists in the efficient operations of the District Business Office. The District Registrar performs the following responsibilities and duties including any other duties as assigned:
- Serve as accounts receivable/payable support.
- Help provide financial management and budget oversight.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist with procurement and contract management (ie. purchasing, bidding, vendors).
- Assist with facilities and operations oversight (ie. supports transportation, nutrition, maintenance, etc).
- Collaborate with district leadership to ensure, and align, financial practices.
- Serve as liaison for the District Office including welcoming visitors and fielding phone inquiries.
- Handle correspondences and mail for the District Office.
- Coordinate and prepare the SRI reports and Certified Enrollment along with certifying these reports to the Department of Education upon review by the Superintendent/Business Official.
- Prepare demographic information as needed.
- Assist with background checks including process’ and procedures
- Assist with weather alerts.
- Assist with the Open Enrollment process.
- Works in collaboration with Human Resources regarding relevant matters related to the onboarding of new employees and the off boarding of employees leaving the district.
- Assists with the process of monthly payroll.
- Assist with W2 and 1095 preparation.
- Help maintain employee leave data.
- Help maintain employee benefit information and work with the School Business Official to disseminate new benefit information or changes to benefits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge and functionality in various communication and computer platforms including online navigation, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to learn new skills and adjust to change as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy in detail oriented job.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Prior payroll and related experience in a Business Office.
- Understanding of state/federal laws as related to public education.
- Desire to learn and become licensed as a School Business Official.

Terms of Employment:
- 260 day contract or otherwise determined by building need.
- Wage will be determined based on skills and experience ($18 - 24/hour).
EVALUATION:
The School Business Official will annually evaluate the job performance of the District Registrar in accordance with federal and state law, board policy, and the preceding job description.
