The entry level Sale Trainee position is a great way to prepare for role as sales professional. The trainee would be responsible for completing training program, including cross training in, claims, sample, customer service, warehouse, operations, and sales departments. Assist assigned sales representatives or sales mentor(s) in promoting and selling products and value-added service offered by MIDLAND within assigned territory. Based on current experience, the training period will last 6 - 24 months. This is an in office position Monday through Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Upon completion of the sales training program, the trainee will have gained product and operational knowledge and learned the sales process by:
- Developing a working knowledge of the company’s operations through various departmental assignments; and the completion of the sales trainee programs and product training offered.
- Actively participating in company sponsored training sessions, scheduled sales meetings, and division functions.
- Traveling with assigned sales representatives or sales mentor(s) attending sales and service calls.
- Practicing the sales process by making sales calls with experienced sales representatives.
- Supporting assigned sales representatives or sales mentor(s) in providing service to current accounts and in the development of new accounts.
- Acquiring system knowledge and competence, both operational and informational, to perform all functions at a professional level.
- Updating knowledge by reviewing new product developments and sales techniques on an ongoing basis.
- Completing training assignments in a timely manner.
- Learning to develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers.
- Supporting all company policies and fostering a positive working environment with fellow employees and customers.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Outlook helpful.
- A strong general knowledge of business and customer service.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
