What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Mfg Weld/Assembly Eng position at Midway Products Group, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY
- Work to develop weld and assembly processes while addressing feasibility issues
- Work with customer engineering to provide design direction for feasibility issues
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Give customer design direction to eliminate weld and assembly manufacturing issues.
- Develop weld and assembly processes with required cycle times as guidance for quoting.
- Work with estimating department to review and discuss part feasibility.
- Attend meetings at customer site as required.
- Responsible for developing engineering change quotes for weld and assembly to the customer.
- Assist in the development of new sales opportunities.
- Quote all weld and assembly operations for cost estimating department.
- Work with Midway Corporate Industrial Engineering department to develop assembly processes utilizing lean manufacturing methods.
- Performs other essential, related duties when required or requested by management and/or reporting supervisor
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Computer literate; basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work at the customer site without supervision; sometimes involving demanding situations
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal shop environment, which includes travel to plant sites
- Use of personal protection equipment; hazards and conditions typically associated with a manufacturing environment
- Travel to customers; may encounter hazards from wet, humid conditions
- Working near mechanical parts; loud noises and inhaling fumes and dust
Experience
Required- Must have assembly processing and feasibility experience.
- 10 year(s): Experience in assembly equipment integrator with project management, estimating, and design experience
- Must have ability to communicate with customer representing Midway Products Group, Inc. best interest.
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Technical or related field
