What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tugger Operator position at Midway Products Group, INC?
Description
THIS IS A 1ST SHIFT POSITION:
- Safely operates powered stand-up industrial delivery equipment.
- Drives a standardized route to pick-up and deliver small totes of materials for all plant departments.
- Ensures all assembly operations are adequately stocked to prevent part shortages and downtime.
- Works closely with Area Managers and Team Leaders to ensure overall effectiveness of the delivery system.
- Effectively communicates part shortages and other critical information to the appropriate leaders throughout the facility.
- Moves materials in amounts to avoid personal injury, or damage to equipment, material, product, or the facility.
- Interprets labels to ensure proper disposition of materials.
- Effectively manages battery supply to avoid unplanned downtime of the tugger.
- Maintains proper records.
- Performs daily shift inspection checks to make sure the Tugger is in proper working condition.
- Reports any safety or mechanical problems with the Tugger to an Area Manager or Team Leader.
- Adheres to all safety regulations.
- Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
