WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Warehouse Manager
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To assist with all warehouse functions including shipping and receiving.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Assist with all warehouse operations and inventory management related activities. This will require learning Midwest’s product structure, warehouse layout, and the inventory software system used.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties. This includes signing for, inspecting, and unpacking all incoming shipments/packages. Also includes shipping outbound packages with a specified carrier (SpeeDee, UPS, Fedex, USPS, or LTL).
- Operate and maintain all warehouse equipment including fork lift, pallet jack, pallets, pallet racking, and shelving.
- Perform other duties, as assigned by the Manager including, but not limited to, organizing the warehouse, cycle counts, general maintenance and cleaning, delivering parts, etc.
- Drive light duty vehicles in order to deliver and pick up materials and supplies.
- Suggest improved methods and practices for the business operations when experience and common sense dictates.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 am-12 pm, Monday-Friday
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have high school education or higher.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (75lbs ).
- Must be comfortable working on their feet for 8 hrs.
- Must be organized, clean, and detailed.
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
